The Pilgrimmswith No River, The Rustic Sinnershttp://www.thepilgrimms.com/The Pilgrimms are a rockin' bunch of voyaging lads raised in the hills of Calgary and currently residing by the seaside in Victoria, British Columbia. Combining blues heard from deep in the delta all the way to Chicago with psychedelic rock and soul, their sound will call the wolf out of the woods, and send a shiver deep down through your spine. All members work together to write songs, and it is this that sets The Pilgrimms apart, there is a unity among members that is rarely seen. Simply put: they work together to write awesome rock n' roll songs. This band embraces the sounds of another era, whilst all the while trying to push their music into new and exciting territory. They just completed their first full length LP (Green and Golden) and, most of all, they wish to play in your town!No Riverhttp://noriver.com/No Rivers songs are filled with trouble brewing, breakdowns and regrets. The wild ass behaviors get the street rat locked up overnight in Five Open Warrants and living on restless time surely has some sort of bad consequence. They play these songs with conviction, like they mean it, like theyve lived it and are going to drag themselves through the torture a few more times.Theres a recklessness inside the stories and in the delivery that renders the music brash, upfront and full of open wounds. No River plays country punk with a raw, tattered intensity, an unrefined quality that doesnt try to clean itself up, surrender or beg for forgiveness. They might not apologize, but theyre willing to admit failure, fucking up and the damage done. The CD (Dont Pray) is also littered with tender moments, often enough the tough guy is reduced to a pile of romantic rubble. Tears dont flow, but the strain shows, and the cracks in the amour, the vulnerability, a beautiful display.-Beatroute (Brad Simm)The Rustic Sinnershttps://www.facebook.com/TherusticsinnersFounded by the fourth generation son of a tobacco farmer in Southern Ontario who watched it all go bad, his tales of loss drew a group of like minded bastards from various punk, rock and bluegrass backgrounds who discovered they had a shitload of fun playing songs about being miserable. Crawling with lost souls who prowl the streets with either a gun in their hand or just looking for the last friend standing, if you've ever had a bad day turn back into good.
