with This Is Death Valleywww.facebook.com/THEREALTIDVGalgamexwww.facebook.com/GALGAMEXConstellationswww.facebook.com/constellationshcLike Animalswww.facebook.com/likeanimalsWith an array of styles not attached to one particular genre, Like Animals have spent the better part of four years , crafting a unique and memorable sound that has taken them to venues throughout Ontario and Eastern Canada. They have played to adoring crowds with the likes of Baptized in Blood, the Dropkick Murphys, Farewell to Freeway, Indian Handcrafts, and Downtown Brown at iconic events like Wakestock and Rothfest. With all band members being a part of the local music community for over 10 years, the band decided to bring a fresh style and unique sound to the table....a decision that would garner them a great deal of respect among fellow musicians and music fans alike.Formed in 2009 and following a slight member change, Like Animals began the writing process for what would become their first official release. They entered One Star Studio in nearby Barrie,On to record "Sweet Whispers, Plagued Ears", a 6-song 35-min album. A blend of heavy experimental progressive rock, odd time signatures, and soulful lyrics produced a unique sound that this band would later become known for. Following many great album reviews, the band set out on playing anywhere and everywhere they could. They closed off 2010 having played countless shows across Ontario, and even a small fall tour which included stops in Quebec. They subsequently sold out of the "Sweet whispers" album. In early 2011, LA were signed to up-and-coming Ontario-based indie label Soda Records. Under the guidance of manager/producer Shane Heath, the band once again entered One Star Studio to record a follow up album, entitled "The Undertoad".The 2nd ever release on Soda Records, this new material saw the band grow by leaps and bounds, once again garnering rave reviews. This album captures a diverse range of incredibly talented comparisons and funnels them, and many more, through the LA filter to create an unclassifiable and undeniably memorable racket. Often described as epic, their live performances leave a long lasting impression By years end, they had once again sold out of physical copies of both of their albums.
