Bandleader, Steven Purpose Chung is a three-time Grammy nominated producer in his own rights. He plays bass alongside Vinni Hamilton on keyboards and flute, Stephen Murphy on drums and Kevaun Kevo Gitz Williams on guitar. The band provides a synergy in sound that is fresh and new, combining the diverse sounds heard in Miami to produce an appealing sound. Each member of this talented group brings his own unique sound and sensibility to the stage. Every performance is a uniquely entertaining experience, as Wraps and Kush always aims to be innovative and exciting. The success of this formula shows itself in the many bookings theyve had since forming in 2007. They have played for audiences at the annual Jazz and Blues Festival in Jamaica as well as the annual Bob Marley Day festival in Miami. The group continues to hone their skills with each performance. Utilizing social media has been a beneficial for Wraps and Kush. They have established a page on Facebook, set up a YouTube channel, a Twitter page and a Reverbnation account. All of their social networking had paid off as the group landed an eight day tour in JamaicaWe were delighted to have been in Jamaica and to have had the opportunity to showcase our music to this very discerning audience, Purpose said. The other members of the group were just as excited about the prospects of playing music on their home ground. The mission was successful even though their schedule was hectic, as they appeared on Smile Jamaica Intense and Primetime on TVJ, Up and Live on Hype TV and DWrap on CVM and then a live performance at Barbican Beach. Their aim was to get as much exposure while in Jamaica. They have several videos under their belt and are in the studio with J.Will who is currently who working on his full-length album Im Ready.
