Adam CohenDawn Taylor Watson & Paul DeslauriersThe most worthy inheritor of an exalted surname, Adam Cohen has found his style, his voice, his music-and his own identity. The result of this inspiration? A new album, Like a Man, which immediately established him as an artist in his own right, fusing the eternal musical heritage of the great Leonard with Adam's own personal sound and vision, stoked by guitar, poetry and, of course, his sheer talent. Opening the evening, the "Queen of Montreal blues," Dawn Tyler Watson, and guitar virtuoso Paul Deslauriers return to the Festival side-by-side for a 6th consecutive year.Adam Cohen (born September 18, 1972, in Montreal; the son of Leonard Cohen) is a Canadian musician, singer-songwriter, and frontman of the band Low Millions. As a recording artist, he has released three major label albums, two in English and one in French. Currently residing in Los Angeles, he was signed by Columbia Records in 1997 and achieved some success as a songwriter, co-writing Lullaby in Blue later recorded by Bette Midler. His 1998 debut album was well-regarded critically but not commerically. After this he decided to focus on French-language material and was signed to Capitol Records Canada, which released Mlancolista.
