Viva Colombia: Electronic Music FestivalMusic By Sympho Nympho Harry "Choo Choo" Romero Jose Nunez Stephano Noferini Plastik Funk George Acosta Armand Pena DJ Wady Alex Poxada Lazardi Cocodrills Mark.M Vinicio Rotelli ALX Electronic DrumsSympho NymphoDeep, deep, deep under the streets of Manhattan, unbeknown to the millions who tread the sidewalks, amid the disused subway tunnels and cavernous vaults there is a music studio, a studio many seek but few find, a studio known only to a chosen few. It is here that SYMPHO NYMPHO was spawned.SYMPHO NYMPHO is the brainchild of superstar producers and Pacha residents Erick Morillo, Harry Choo Choo Romero and Jose Nunez, a powerhouse of musical excellence, a collective driven underground by the new world order, a world in which vacuous worshippers of fame are unashamedly celebrated, a world where talent is irrelevant, a world where repackaged banality is preferred to genuine groundbreaking beats. The resistance starts here and it starts now.Erick Morillo needs very little introduction, a household name, a platinum selling artist, a producer who has topped the charts worldwide with the Real 2 Reel hit I Like To Move It and the owner of Subliminal Records. Hes produced under pseudonyms including Ministers De La Funk (along with Harry and Jose), RAW, Smooth Touch, RBM, Deep Soul, Club Ultimate, Lil Mo Ying Yang, has remixed everyone from Whitney Houston to Basement Jaxx, from the Sneaker Pimps to Macy Gray and has collaborated with the likes of Puff Daddy. Hes big in the game to say the least. It was while working on The Dronez material with Harry Choo Choo Romero and Jose Nunez, producers of percussive, funky tracks Cro-Magnon and Erectus Subliminal Records - that the concept for SYMPHO NYMPHO was born.We kinda soaked up all musical genres since the late 70s between us, says Jose. And we wanted to explore our diversity in a new dimension for us popular music. Its a radio friendly sound where weve morphed all our ideas and influences. With SYMPHO NYMPHO, we get to be more playful and express ourselves in a totally different way than before, agrees Harry. Its a new boundary for us, that we are having a blast discovering.Together under the SYMPHO NYMPHO guise they create intense drama with their use of delays, frequency and reverbs to build climactic tensions and nerve tingling crescendos.Harry RomeroHarry Romero, better known as Harry "Choo Choo" Romero, is an American DJ and record producer. He is linked with the label Subliminal with Erick Morillo and Jose Nunez, with whom he also produced and remixed several tracks, as Constipated Monkeys, The Dronez or Ministers De La Funk. The trio won the Muzik Magazine Remixer of the Year award in 1999. When working alone, he uses the names HCCR and Mongobonix. Harry owns a sub label of Subliminal called Bambossa, in which he has released tracks, including the classics "Tania", "What happened", "Son of mongo" and "Warped". Harry Romero has mixed several of the successful "Subliminal Sessions" series of mix CDs, blending releases from the Subliminal stable with other current house tracks.
