Bill Salas is a Chicago boy through and through. Sure, the producer better known as Brenmar resides in Brooklyn these days, but his tracks clearly demonstrate that the guy brought his hometown's love of hip-hop, R&B, house, and juke along with him. Over the past year, he's built a name for himself on the back of bootleg remixes of DJ Deeon, Cassie, and Aaliyah, not to mention a few of his own originals. He releasedthe At It Again EP on Discobellebut that's just the beginning; another single is planned for Ikonika and Optimum's Hum + Buzz imprint, as are collaborative efforts with LA duo Nguzunguzu and Washington producer Cedaa.
The thing that I enjoy most about Brenmar is his ability to take a track, extract the most poignant moments from it, and bump it up to the next level by rewarding it the with a whole song in itself. His new EP is an exercise in exactly that.

Spencer Sweeney of V Magazine just nominated as ICEBERG VENUS X (Venus Jazmine Soto) as "THE NEW UNDERGROUND" and with good reason. Representing one third of the party GHE20 G0TH1K, Soto has been elevating the basement-dwelling dancefloor denizens of New York and Miami to angelic new heights with her signature sound of euphoric, ghetto-fantasy house. The GHE20 G0TH1K party is usually at 120 Orchard Street (in the basement) but for one night only she will bring it to 560 Seymour Street and give us all a taste of what's been brewing in that NYC basement.
FRANK GRIMES
http://soundcloud.com/frankgrimes
A local talent with a penchant for developing and manipulating really interesting noises and then, combining said noises in such a melodic and intricate... wait, forget that part...
The kid knows how to make tuuunes so you can flex your dancing skills at parties with mega sound- systems. Franks tunes are also known to help you pick up chicks. When hes not remixing 3-6 mafia he's probably eating a small bag of chips, doesnt matter what kind, just as long as the bag is opened upside down. Recently he's also been working on a bunch of new tunes that shall be compiled into an EP once the time is right.
