Extraordinary players Jam on Bluesdays with Booker FREE!
Lannie is from THE Blues town, Chicago, so she has always wanted a BLUES night at Lannie’s. She called her pal, Blues/Swing guitarist extraordinaire, David Booker..and asked him if HE wanted to conduct a blues night at Lannie’s. BLUESDAYS with BOOKER was born.
On Bluesdays, David’s trio will entertain you with some GREAT PLAYING! David’s little black book of great players will enable him to invite some of the best blues players around to join him in a blues jam and a whole BLUES culture will take place right here at Lannie’s. And it’s FREE…harmonica players, guitarists, horn players. Maybe even, YOU? Come down and sign up to sit in.
David is an incredibly versatile player, his knowledge and virtuosity on the guitar encompasses the Blues, Classic Rock, Old Time Country, jazzy Swing, New Orleans style Louisiana R&B even a dash of Reggae . . . you’ll hear a little bit of Dylan, Johnny Cash, Ben Harper, Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker, Clapton, and Bob Marley. Not bad, eh?
David can rock out with the best of them, he has played with Blues icons, the late, great Albert Collins and the incredible icon, Koko Taylor, 2 R&R Hall of Famers, Bo Diddley, and Del Shannon and backed-up, the late Mr. Solomon Burke (The King Of Rock and Soul) Rufus (“Walking The Dog”/”Funky Chicken”) Thomas, and Sir Mack Rice, the writer of “Mustang Sally!”
