Ever since ARMCHAIR CYNICS, those loveable lads from the Victoria ‘250’ area code, hooked up with Chad Krueger’s 604 Records and released the EP Killing the Romance in 2005 with songs like “Bang,” “Coalmine,” and “Surprise Ending,” they have ceased being regional and have gone national. Now, with the release of their debut full-length CD Starting Today produced by 54-40 guitar man Dave Genn (who also produced the newest Marianas Trench and Hedley albums), their horizon has expended to international success. They are the latest hot Canadian export and they are going places. How hot? The video for the first single from the CD “Ablaze” was recently released, and perhaps suitably, it shows the boys in the band literally playing with fire. ARMCHAIR CYNICS have also just released the second single from Starting Today called “Kelly,” which is already riding the rock and modern rock radio charts. Catch them while you can.
KROME is a Vancouver band that has performed coast to coast in the USA and Canada with their brand of anthemic good times and straight ahead rock. “Turn it Up” is the name of their single and they practice what they preach.
