LMFAO
While searching for a name for his Electro/Hip-Hop group, Sky Blu decided to shoot an iChat message to his grandmother with the latest idea, seeking her opinion.
"Our new name is gonna be Sexy Dudes...what do you think of that?"
Grandma Goodfoot replied, "LMFAO".
Sky Blu, and his partner-in-rhyme, Redfoo, knew grandma was on to something.
“When we told our friends our name was LMFAO, they loved it.”
Still not completely convinced, they ran it by their parents to get their reaction. They hated it. Redfoo's dad said, "Garbage!..I don't understand what the f*ck that means."
Sky's Blu's Mom simply replied, "That's just poopsauce."
It was then they knew their search for a name was over and LMFAO was on and poppin
DJ E-Rock I DJ Scene
Citing some of the Bay Area's most legendary deejays such as: Q Bert, MixMaster Mike, and Apollo as his influences, DJ E-Rock's fascination led him to begin spinning at the young age of 11. Four years later, after honing and perfecting his techniques, he would become the second youngest deejay to showcase his talent on San Francisco's KMEL in 1995. In addition to his radio segment, he still works the club circuit heavily from San Francisco to Las Vegas and abroad to earn his respect as a deejay and create a loyal fan base.
DJ Scene has emerged as one of the most consistent touring DJs in the United States. Scene performs over 100 shows per year in some of the most respected venues from Borgatta in Atlantic City to MGM Grand in Las Vegas. His distinct brand of scratching, live remixing and blending classic party anthems spans every genre of music from AC/DC to Jay-Z, electro, 80's and pop.
DJ Scene is a part of Deckstar, a DJ company that manages DJ AM, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Steve Aoki and handful of other accomplished tastemakers. No stranger to rocking with the best, DJ Scene has also shared stages with the likes of 50 Cent, Ludacris, Common, Rakim, Nas, De La Soul, The Roots, Method Man, Sir Mix-A-Lot and countless others.
DJ Sam Issac I DJ Zaq
A passion for music and art began at an early age for ZAQ. At the age of 10, ZAQ had attained a solid mastery of multiple instruments.
Mark Farina I Miguel Migs
Shortly after Mark befriended Derrick Carter in 1988 at a record store in Chicago, his passion for House music, and sharing it with the world, exploded.
Mark experimented with a deeper style, dropping De La Soul, disco classics and other stuff that wasn’t being played in the main rooms of nightclubs. While exploring his love for the purist forms of House Music, Mark developed his trademark style: Mushroom Jazz; acid jazz infused with the West Coast’s jazzy, organic productions along with urban beats.
Fans embraced Mark’s downtempo style so much that he started a weekly Mushroom Jazz club night in San Francisco with Patty Ryan. In 3 short years, the club established a fanatical, cult-like following for Farina and the Mushroom Jazz sound. When the doors closed, Farina continued the tradition by releasing a series of Cds, “Mushroom Jazz”.
Miguel Migs stands at the forefront of electronic music's soulful realm. Whether tackling his original productions or remixes, he achieves an organic-soulful sound by combining the best of both the electronic music world and live instrumentation.
