Evoking the sophisticated yet rakish appeal of a classic gentlemens club, the clubs striking architectural design, luxe decor, and seamless functionality combine to produce the ultimate stage for high-end entertaining. In addition, Tepperberg and Strauss commissioned the venerable firm of Philip Johnson/Alan Ritchie Architects and nightlife designer Steve Lewis to creat the perfect space for their upscale regular crowd and exclusive private events. Johnson, the dean of 20th century American architecture responsible for Manhattan landmarks including the Lipstick Building and the Seagram building - home of the swanky Four Seasons Restaurant - executed his iconic designs for Marquee just months before his death in January of 2005.

In order to carve out Marquee's main (cabaret) space, the entire roof was removed and replaced with a dramtic 42-foot vaulted ceiling and breathtaking lighting fixtures to illuminate Johnsons signature 35-foot long (wishbone) staircase. Guests enjoy three distinct yet interconnected areas which provide a visually dramatic backdrop for the owners notoriously attractive clientele. While Marquee is set apart from other venues by its powerful architectural statement, the interior decor is siimilarly memorable and upscale. And, most importantly to the thousands of elite guests it entertains on a weekly basis, Marquees functionality is as remarkable as its form. The experienced design team planned on, and created a layout that allows for, seamless crowd flow even on the busiest of nights. The innovative, custom-made amenities guarantee the comfort of every guest.

The luxurious ambiance is conveyed by the generous use of choice natural woods, glistening brass and glass accents and of course, the plush, buttery leather banquettes. Marquee uses its own tableware including specialty leather placemats, sculptural glassware and custom designed ice buckets.
